Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Rudy Graf, whose company, The Science Source in Waldoboro, makes equipment for science classes. He recently acquired Salem, Mass.-based Daedalon Corp., maker of equipment for college-level physics classes. He is helping with the merger but has ceded day-to-day operations to General Manager Paul Rogers and holds the position of company chairman. The Waldoboro plant is expanding to accommodate Daedalon. Since 1986, he has bought six smaller companies, which he says is the best way to reach customers in the nation's slow-to-change educational system.
