Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on a plan by the Legislature's appropriations committee to rework a business income tax in a way that would target companies whose in-state revenue is largely derived from sales. The system, called a "single-factor" tax assessment, would shift the tax burden from manufacturers to retailers and would generate more than $11 million. Details.
