Abstract

"Focus on Professional Services" piece on Portland-based accounting firm Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker's new executive recruitment arm. Although accounting firms specialize in numbers, not people, many CPAs have a useful familiarity with the corporate culture of their clients and maintain wide-reaching networks. The new arm, called Executive Fit, is run by Sarah Olson, the former human resources director. With details on how Olson matches candidates to clients and on the informal recruitment role other accounting firms occasionally take on when asked.
