Abstract

"Focus: Banking & Finance" piece on VentureNetwork.vc, the first social networking site for New England's venture capital and private equity communities. The site was launched in November by the New England Venture Network as a way to enhance face-to-face networking. Michael Burgmaier, a principal at CEI Community Ventures in Portland, says that networking is a large part of what he does, though his networking is still done face-to-face. With comments by Tim Agnew, a principal at the Portland office of Masthead Venture Partners; Dan Klein, a senior analyst at Vesbridge Partners LLC; and Charles "Kip" Moore, of Portland-based Little Diamond Island Enterprises.
