    Abstract

    "Business Maine: Southern" piece reporting that the U.S. Navy has awarded a $12.2 million contract to Biddeford-based Intermat to research and develop alternative materials for the nose tips of submarine-launched ballistic missiles. The company also will be responsible for the development and fabrication of thermal protection materials and components for new Navy weapons. Intermat is a subsidiary of Biddeford-based Fiber Materials, Inc.
