Abstract

"Focus on Energy & Utilities" piece on Portland's Eco-story LLC, co-founded by Bill Stauffer and Mark Shoemaker. The company targets the restaurant and retail store market to sell an improved version of the LED light bulb, an energy-efficient and long-lasting alternative to the incandescent bulb. The two are on the cutting edge of the technology, but must keep competitors like General Electric in mind. Eventually they would like to move the company's manufacturing base from China to Maine.
