Abstract
Village Candle, which started four years ago in the kitchen of Paul Aldrich's Topsham home, is now the third-largest candle maker in the country. It has always been a debt-free business, and now occupies 60,000 square feet at the Fort Andros mill in Brunswick. By plowing all his profits back into the business, Aldrich has succeeded where many businesses have failed. His only current problem is finding suitable numbers of qualified employees to meet the growing demand.
