Abstract

"Focus on Technology" piece on the Portland-based company Quantrix, co-founded by Peter Murray and Chris Houle to develop the Quantrix Modeler and related software programs for business modeling and analytics. In 2008, TechMaine named Murray its CxO of the Year, citing his technical expertise and efforts to advance Maine's technology community. This year, "Intelligent Enterprise" magazine named Quantrix one of 36 companies nationwide to watch. One employer at an investment bank using Quantrix software now does in a day what it used to take four employers updating Excel spreadsheets three weeks to accomplish. Murray was formerly CTO at the now-defunct Portland-based Gofish.com.
