Abstract

Increased demand has forced the Maine Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired to move from its manufacturing facility on Park Avenue in Portland to a larger space. New contracts from local companies and governments will require 25,000 square feet, mainly for paper and textile manufacturing. MCBVI has been manufacturing since 1905, and now employs more than 20 blind and visually impaired people. Details.
