Abstract
Key Bank, the largest bank in Maine, will be the first in the state and perhaps the nation to practice "borderless banking." This became became possible because of a federal law which took effect June 1, 1997. Maine Key Bank customers will now be able to conduct business at any branch in the country. The bank's growth is part of a trend toward computerized banking. Details.
