Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on a request by FairPoint Communications for a reduction in penalties imposed by the Public Utilities Commission. Fairpoint says the company's customer service has improved after a rocky transition followed its purchase of Verizon's landline service. FairPoint filed for bankruptcy in 2009, and its reorganization plan was filed in February.
