Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on Gov. Paul LePage's disbanding of the Employee Misclassification Task Force and his plan to submit legislation that would require Maine to adopt the federal definition of an employee. LePage is concerned state rules have virtually eliminated the use of independent contractors by some businesses.
