Abstract

The Woman-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program is finally starting nearly a decade after its creation. The program's goal is to help certified women-owned businesses get federal government contracts. By focusing on industries where women-owned businesses are underrepresented, the program will help level the playing field and gives these businesses a chance to work with the federal government, which purchases more than $425 billion worth of goods and services each year.
