Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece about plans by members of the Legislature's Government Oversight Committee to impose stricter spending controls at all independent state agencies in response to lax supervision at the Maine Turnpike Authority. Some committee members also want to shorten the terms of board members at all agencies.
