Abstract
"Capitol Update" piece on disputed figures for the amount of money lost by Maine's unemployment system due to errors and fraud between July 2010 and June 2011. The federal department of labor placed the figure at $33.6 million but Maine Labor Commissioner Robert Winglass said that the actual figure is almost $6.5 million. He stated that the department will work even harder to reduce errors that lead to overpayment and plans to hire another fraud investigator.
