Abstract

Since 2001, Common Good Ventures, a Portland nonprofit, has sponsored Springboards, one and a half hour collaborations that allow a nonprofit to deliver a presentation about their organization, pose a mission-critical challenge to a panel of a dozen experts from the public and private sectors, and benefit from the ensuing brainstorming session. With details about a recent Springboard held in Augusta for the STEM Collaborative, a group formed to increase education and awareness about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in Maine.
