Abstract

“Focus: Real Estate/ Construction/ Design” piece on SMRT, a Portland-based architecture and engineering firm, and its recent medical office building projects. The company has seen an increased volume of work generated by the health care industry, due in part to a new health care model known as patient-centered medical home (rather than the traditional “provider-centered” primary care model). Article looks more closely at one of their projects -- the new Martin’s Point Health Care facility in Gorham.
