Abstract

The Maine Aquaculture Economic Impact Report indicates the aquaculture industry in Maine contributes almost $1.38 million to the state per year. Aquaculture is the fastest-growing food production business in the world and Maine is well situated geographically, has ample natural resources and a workforce to be able to participate in this growth. Highlights of the report are presented.
