Abstract
This focus piece on Thomas College examines how the school prepares its students, many of them first in the their family to go to college, for success. From the career-focused curriculum, to President Laurie Lachance's recognition that social networks are as important as academics (leading her to offer free golf lessons to students) to the contract that students sign to participate in the job-guarantee program, all of the College's efforts have resulted in a 94% job placement rate for students within months of graduating.
