Abstract

A look at the oyster industry along the Damariscotta River. Barbara Scully of Scully Sea Products said that demand was higher this year than ever before as tourists came to Maine to flee the pandemic. Scully, along with Bill Mook of Mook Sea Farm, is one of the pioneers of midcoast Maine oyster farming. They are pleased to see environmentally-minded young people moving to the area to become oyster farmers.
