Abstract
This exploration of how five Mainers weathered the economic changes caused by the coronavirus pandemic shares the stories of Molly Brubaker, who launched Baby Booty, a business offering workouts for pregnant women and new parents; Stephen Mead, an electrical engineer who returned to Maine after living in Portland, Oregon; David Schneider, an attorney with Bernstein Shur who became a seasonal ranger for the National Park Service for six months; Jessica Cates, who left work to go back to college; and Mark Vogelzang, former CEO of Maine Public who retired in order to spend time with family.
