Abstract

"this just in" piece on the occupation of Monument Square by peace protestors. Activists have declared the square to be a "Peace Camp and Autonomous Zone," and plan to occupy the area until the war is over. A rotation of protestors have camped out in the square day and night since March 19, sometimes enduring physical confrontations and verbal assaults.
