Abstract
Portland wine sales and selections have reached unprecedented levels. But some are wondering how long the wine boom can last. Portland-based Browne Trading Company, a supplier of caviar, smoked fish and seafood to some of the most revered restaurants in the U.S., is entering the wine business and will open a specialty foods store in Portland featuring nearly 2,000 wines. That's more than twice the size of most local competitors' lists. With references to other wine importers and dealers, including RP Imports, Cellars of Maine, Clown, Greengrocer, Arrow, Blacksmiths Winery and Carlyle Imports.
