Abstract

At its recent meeting, the Portland City Council voted 7-2 to go ahead with plans to move the Scotia Prince to the east end of east end of the peninsula. Councilors Peter O'Donnell and [Thomas] Kane voted against the move. The council also voted 6-3 to put to the voters a referendum that says Portland supports the concept of a single-payer, state-run health care system.
