Abstract

An article on Portlanders who keep summer and winter homes in the same community. With profiles of three such couples and descriptions of their homes, including: Paul and Dodo Stevens, who winter on the West End and summer on Little Diamond Island; interior designer Herb Schwartz and his wife, Donna, who have homes on Clinton Street and in the former Fort McKinley in Great Diamond Island; and lawyer Peter Murray and his wife Debby Clark, who divide their time between Portland and Cushing Island. Herb Schwartz died shortly after he was interviewed for this article.
