Abstract
"Interview" piece with actor Kurt Russell, 55, who considers Rangeley his hometown. Bud Russell, Kurt's grandfather, founded the Kennebago Lake Club in the 1940's, and a teenage Kurt spent his summers there. Kurt says both his grandfather and his father, Bing Russell, were great hunters and guides. Although Russell doesn't get treated like a celebrity when he visits Rangeley, his longtime partner Goldie Hawn causes a stir. Kurt's son Wyatt is a hockey standout who dreams of playing for the University of Maine. The late Shawn Walsh, coach of the UMaine hockey team, befriended the Russells 1999.
