Abstract

Carmen at The Danforth is a new restaurant run by Chef Carmen Gonzalez that will open on May 15. A native of Puerto Rico, Gonzalez describes the restaurant's cuisine as a "journey through most of Latin America and the Caribbean". Her friend and business partner, Kim Swan, purchased The Danforth in April 2009 and Gonzalez soon proposed creating a restaurant for the inn. With sidebar about the history of The Danforth, which was built in 1823 for merchant Joseph Holt Ingraham.
