Article on a Wolf 1, a lone wolf shot in St. John Territory. Its shooter might have violated the Endangered Species Act 25 miles north of Moosehead Lake, but his prosecution will be difficult or impossible, because prosecutors must prove malicious intent. Brief description of its DNA and that of black wolves in Canada.
