Abstract

Article on guerrilla art in Portland, mentioning the efforts of Faze, a collaboration of artists Eli Cayer, 29, Bob Smith, 28, and Tim Clorius, 27, all of whom have their roots in graffiti art. Removal of graffiti in Portland is a combined effort of the city, Portland West, and the Portland Downtown District. Tom Fortier, who works out of the city manager's office, said Portland West spent $34,000 in cleanup last year. Includes an interview in question-and-answer format with an anonymous graffiti tagger who goes by the handle of "CELERY."
