Abstract
"Outdoors" piece on recreational lobstering, noting that Mainers may apply for a noncommercial lobstering license from the state Department of Marine Resources. The license costs just under $50 and allows you to haul up to five traps. Yarmouth native Rebecca Marr, who's been pulling traps since she was eight, says lobstering was always peaceful and adventuresome growing up. Today, Marr and her husband both treasure their noncommercial licenses, noting that their three daughters also have student permits.
