Profiles of the "10 Most Intriguing People in Maine," with interviews in question-and-answer format with Bau Graves and Phyllis O'Neill, co-directors of the Center for Cultural Exchange in Portland, and with James Cagney IV, a Portland actor and grandson of film star Jimmy Cagney. Others profiled include Julie Berry, a Gorham native and a contestant on the CBS reality television show "Survivor IX: Vanautu;" Nathan Szanton, a Portland affordable housing developer and partner in Maine Workforce Housing; Winston McGill, a Portland firefighter and president of the Portland branch of the NAACP; Pat LaMarche, vice presidential candidate for the Green Party; Dr. Kathleen Gensheimer, state epidemiologist since 1981; Hilary Bassett, executive director of Greater Portland Landmarks; and Beth Stickney, a Portland immigration lawyer and executive director of Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project.
