Abstract

Both labor and the White House are increasing pressure on U.S. represenative Thomas H. Andrews, who is one of 64 lawmakers who remain undecided as to how they will vote on the North American Free Trade Agreement. Yesterday, Andrews received telephone calls from President Clinton, Vice President Gore, and Secretary of State Warren Christopher seeking his support for NAFTA. Lists the pros and cons of the agreement.
