Abstract

Maine tax officials are offering the state's dentists the opportunity to "self-audit" their books and to pay the state use tax on all taxable purchases since 1990. Those who comply will be excused from paying the penalty of 35 percent on unpaid taxes and from paying taxes on purchases made prior to 1990.
