Abstract

The team of hearing examiners which advises the Maine Public Utilities Commission says the commission is facing a major decision when it rules on Cemtral Maine Power Co.'s $83 million rate-increase request. The examiners recently advised the PUC that CMP should only receive a rate increase of $20.5 million because of the utility's failure to promote efficiency.
