Abstract
The 64-year-old State Theater, which will have its debut concert on Saturday night, was restored with the help of some 115 volunteers. Some preservationists had predicted that work on the old theater would run into the millions of dollars, but initial investments by owners Nick and Lola Kampf have only totaled $250,000 so far, though ongoing work will take years and more money to complete.
