Abstract

The Portland Partnership, a group affiliated with the city's school system, has received a $135,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education to develop a national model for coordinating school volunteers. The grant will be used to hire and train a part-time volunteer coordinator for each of Portland's schools, with the exception of Cliff Island Elementary School. Details, related article.
