Abstract

Kennebunkport selectmen last week approved the resumption of the traditional Fourth of July fireworks display. The fireworks were cancelled four years ago, after the display, set off in President George Bush's backyard, drew 30,000 sightseers. Now that Bush is out of office and attracts fewer visitors to the town, selectmen do not fear a repeat of the 1989 event.
