Abstract

Gov. John R. McKernan yesterday said it is time to "tighten the screws" on parents who have failed to pay child support, and approved sending a second batch of letters to those in arrears. The first batch of 18,000 letters was mailed in August. Sent to parents owing support, they warned that failure to pay would result in the loss of professional, occupational or drivers' licenses.
