Abstract

Tonia Kigas, 28, of Bangor, charged with murder in the death of her five-year-old daughter Tavielle, has apparently admitted to starving the child to death. Kigas later told a judge that she didn't cause the death but simply allowed it to occur. The state Medical Examiner's Office on Tuesday said that Tavielle Kigas died of starvation and dehydration.
