Abstract

A conference organized by the Damariscotta River Estuary Project attracted 50 municipal officials last week, where they discussed the river and ways to broaden its use both commercially and recreationally. The project, supported by a three-year, $100,000 Maine Coastal Program grant, is seeking to unite officials from the seven towns which border the river and its 7,627-acre estuary. Details.
