Carlos and Rafael Gonzales, cousins from Guatemala, last week opened the Mercado Latino on Oak Street in downtown Portland. The store is Maine's first Latino market, and sells specialty grocery items, woven goods and handcrafts from Guatemala and Spanish-language newspapers. Details.
