Abstract

The former Brooks Bakery Building at 181 Brackett Street, renamed the Neighborhood Youth Employment and Training Center, will be the new home of the Portland Youth Service Conservation Corps and the Building Alternatives programs. The two jobs programs, run by the Community Employment Project, allow young people to earn money and school credits while performing public service work in the community. Details.
