Artists from Maine and around the nation have contributed some 170 ornaments for the 17-foot winter solstice tree in the Portland Museum of Art's Great Hall. The ornaments range from abstract to folksy, and were solicited from artists such as Yoko Ono, Christo, Vivien Weir Russe and Jan Owen. Details.
