Abstract

One year after the Munjoy Hill apartment house fire which claimed four lives and left dozens homeless, the gutted remains of the building at the corner of Congress Street and Washington Avenue stand as a reminder of Portland's deadliest blaze in 30 years. The relatives of those who perished in the fire still remember the ones who died, and the arsonist who set the fire awaits trial on a charge of arson and four counts of murder. Details.
