Abstract

The Portland Water District's new $23.5 million plant in Standish contains three high-tech ozonators, common equipment in Europe but the first of their kind in Maine. The ozonators use 480 volts of electricity to turn oxygen into ozone, and will be used to disinfect water from Sebago Lake. Details, related articles.
