Abstract

Hubert E. Hartley III on Tuesday changed his plea to guilty on charges of conspiracy to possess an illegal firearm and conspiracy to hide evidence in a criminal investigation. Hours later U.S. District Court jurors found Henry P. Lombard, Hartley's co-defendant and half-brother, guilty of the same charges. The two were acquitted of murder charges in the Thanksgiving 1990 slayings of Morris Martin and Paul Lindsay Jr., leading the government to indict them on conspiracy charges linked to the slayings.
