Abstract

Kelley & Picerne Inc. of Warwick, R.I., owners of the Five Points Shopping Center in Biddeford, have filed suit in York County Superior Court against Wal-Mart, claiming that the proposed Biddeford Wal-Mart is a shopping center and not a store. The argument stems from the city's definition of shopping center, and the stricter regulations which govern the permitting process for shopping centers.
