Abstract

Following an Ottawa meeting between officials of the U.S. Trade Representative's office and their Canadian counterparts, which failed to resolve the dispute regarding the New Brunswick sales tax controversy, Gov. McKernan and U.S. represenative Snowe urged that the issue be turned over to an arbitration panel. The two urged U.S. Trade Representative Mickey Cantor to file a complaint under the U.S.-Canada Trade Agreement. Details.
