Lewiston voters on Tuesday voted three-to-one in favor of John Jenkins, 41, a martial arts instructor and personal development teacher, as the city's new mayor. Jenkins becomes the state's second African-American mayor, after Augusta Mayor William Burney, who was elected to that post in 1987.
