Abstract
Maine businessmen are blaming stiffer enforcement of New Brunswick 11 percent sales tax for the Maine business slump. Maine Governor John McKernan and some members of the Maine congressional delegation have condemned the tax as a reason for their opposition to the North American Free Trade Agreement.
